About me ★

Hi! My name is Sarah Adelman and I’m a born and bred New Yorker and stand up comic and screenwriter (and former scientist).

When I’m not on tour, I’m a regular at New York Comedy Club, Union Hall, DontTellComedy, and more. I’ve been participant in the New York Comedy Festival and the Riot Comedy Festival, and was selected as a Gold Comedy 2026 Comedian to Watch. I’ve opened for Janeane Garofalo, Judy Gold, and Mohanad Elsheiky, Gianmarco Soresi, and Isabel Hagen, and can be seen on two episodes of HBO’s Game Theory season 2.

I was an Ars Novaresident for the 2023-2024 season in their Comedy Artist Makers’ Program where I developed and premiered my one-woman show "EGG," Called "a charming coming-of-age stand-up show" by New York Times comedy critic Jason Zinoman and selected for the NY Comedy Festival, EGG has been on a sold-out national tour over the last year.

My short film/proof of concept “BUSTED!” premiered at SeriesFest 2025 and won both the Jury Award for Best Writer and the Audience Award in the Digital Short Series category. BUSTED! was also an official selection for multiple Oscar-qualifying festivals.

I am also the creator, host, and EP of“BLOW MY MIND,” an original series on MadRealities. In each episode, I sit down with a guest as they present me with a mind-blowing science fact.
