Show description: Sarah Adelman is a research scientist by day and stand-up comedian by night, and her one-hour solo show EGG brings audiences through her hilarious and heartfelt coming-of-age journey to her present-day career in science, why she started comedy, and culminates in an earth-shattering clash of her two worlds.

About me ★

Hi! My name is Sarah Adelman and I am a born and bred New Yorker and stand up comedian.

I am a former reproductive health Research Scientist and now perform all over the city, at venues that have included Stand Up NY, Littlefield, Union Hall, The Stand, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Caveat, DontTellComedy, and more. I’ve also opened for Judy Gold in and out of NYC as well as Mohanad Elsheiky and can be seen on two episodes of HBO’s Game Theory season 2.

I am an Ars Nova resident for the 2023-2024 season in their Comedy Artist Makers’ Program where I will develop and premier my comedy solo show show with them off-broadway in June of 2024. The show is directed by Iris Bahr (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hacks).

I also produce three monthly comedy shows, Disco Nap Comedy in Bushwick (@disconapcomedy), Unladylike Comedy at Stand Up NY (@unladylikecomedyoffical) and Smart Cookie comedy at NYCC.

My content has been featured on The Today Show, The Daily Mail, Bumble, Book of the Month, NewYorkers, SecretNYC, The Nudge, 92nd Street Y, RISK! Podcast, Meta, NBC News, and others.
